At present, customers from different divisions are maintained using different software systems. Due to this heterogeneous approach, getting an integrated view of customers is only possible by implementing another software solution.

The customer 

The customer certifies and monitors operating fleets as well as offshore buildings and is well regarded for certifying wind power plants.

The challenge 

The customer was largely inexperienced in the area of mobility. Therefore, a mobility strategy had to be designed at an early stage in the project. iteratec significantly supported this step. As both platforms were intended to be ready for an international trade fair, a speedy execution of the project was of particular importance.

Our solution 

The support services provided by the iteratec teams during the design phase were of significant added value to the customer. In addition to the implementation for the platforms iOS and Android, a light-weight backend was implemented via RESTful services and put into operation. Further support was provided to the customer regarding the deployment in the AppStore and PlayStore.

The added value 

The project provides the customer with a significant improvement in visibility for its customers and relevant decision makers. The app is regularly used at trade fairs to show a representation of a customer. Additionally, the customer made its first foray into the area of mobility.

Certification process digitalisation for renewable energies

The customer 

The customer certifies and monitors operating fleets as well as offshore buildings and is well regarded for certifying wind power plants.

The challenge 

The certification of wind power plants is a significantly growing market for the customer. In order to do the number of projects justice the decision was made to speed up the certification process with the help of digitalisation. Until now the process had only been analogue. In light of this it was not only necessary to design and develop the project but also to re-design existing operational processes and introduce the developed software for the tasks relevant for digital certification.

Our solutions 

In close collaboration with the relevant business units of the customers, iteratec developed an individual software solution and designed the existing operational processes from scratch. A uniform certification process was introduced with the help of the newly developed software. This process automates administrative tasks, increases transparency and allows for faster reaction times of the customer. The customer was able to increase its speed for certifications and improve the data quality.

The added value 

Thanks to the project the customer is able to achieve more transparency relating to progress in the process and therefore faster reaction times for customer requests. The certification process was sped up and the quality of the data improved. The acceleration potential was significant.
