Clear assessment within 10–20 days
IT systems are the backbone of modern businesses—used daily, business-critical, and complex. But how stable, secure, and powerful are they really? Often, vulnerabilities only become apparent when it's too late. A system health check provides you with a structured assessment of the current status and creates an objective basis for early and targeted action.
The result: transparency about the system status, identified areas for action, and a valid basis for deciding on the next steps.
A system health check provides a clear, objective assessment of whether and to what extent your system is capable of meeting current and future requirements. The aim is to turn a vague sense of unease into a clear picture: where do we stand, what is going well, and where is there a need for action?
Our services are based on a clear, structured approach – developed on the basis of ATAM, expanded through our many years of project experience and established methods.
We clarify the scope, objectives, and framework conditions. In a joint kick-off meeting, we gain an initial overview of your existing system. We use existing documentation as a basis to reduce the amount of work involved and define the issues in a targeted manner.
Based on your corporate strategy and new challenges, we define functional and qualitative requirements and derive quality objectives. From this, we derive and prioritize specific application scenarios. At the same time, we map out the system architecturally and compare it with the requirements. To obtain a 360-degree view of your system landscape, we consider not only the technology, but also processes, organization, and framework conditions. This creates a precise picture, on the basis of which we identify relevant insights.
We analyze the identified weaknesses and consolidate them into clearly defined areas of action. In doing so, we evaluate risks, trade-offs, and potential, and jointly prioritize the next steps.
You will receive a comprehensive assessment of the health, performance, and future viability of your IT system. In addition, we will present you with the evaluated quality scenarios, concrete findings, and clearly defined areas for action in a transparent manner—including recommendations for quick wins and strategic development.
Our analysis is based on the ATAM framework (Architecture Trade-off Analysis Method), which we have expanded to include processes, teams, and system history in addition to architecture. This 360-degree approach allows us to develop a holistic overview.
The focus is on up to six key questions, which we examine in greater depth during the analysis—for example:
OVERALL ASSESSMENT OF SYSTEM HEALTH
An overview of stability, performance, and future-proofing.
EVALUATION OF QUALITY SCENARIOS
in line with business requirements and strategy.
SPECIFIC AREAS OF ACTION
including prioritization and recommendations for action
A System Health Check is the ideal first step to quickly create transparency and identify technical quick wins. It provides a valid basis for decision-making regarding the next steps.
However, if the challenges are more complex and require in-depth analysis as a basis for strategic realignment, our comprehensive system review is the next logical step. In addition to technology, we also look at processes, team structures, and organizational conditions to create a 360° basis for decision-making.
Our experts are familiar with modern and historical system generations—we quickly identify problems and make recommendations that work.
We know that systems have evolved—and we evaluate them with expertise, not dogmatism.
No empty phrases, no technology buzzwords. Our transparent assessment is based on concrete goals, not preferences.
We work collaboratively and closely involve your teams—this creates acceptance and sustainable results.
Clear assessment within 10–20 days
Immediately usable quick wins without additional effort
Well-founded opinion on how to classify one's own feelings of discomfort
Acceptance, optimism, and motivation within the team

A system health check is a structured analysis of the current state of your IT systems with the aim of objectively assessing stability, performance, and future viability. The analysis provides transparency about where the system is well positioned and where action is needed in order to make informed modernization decisions.
The System Health Check is based on the advanced ATAM framework (Architecture Trade-off Analysis Method), which takes into account not only the architecture but also processes, teams, and system history. Up to six focus questions are analyzed—such as scalability, maintainability, efficiency of development processes, or technological bottlenecks—to create a holistic picture of the system.
At the end of the System Health Check, you will receive a comprehensive assessment of your system health, an evaluation of quality scenarios in line with your business requirements, as well as specific recommendations for action and prioritized areas for improvement, including strategic development.
A System Health Check is performed within a specified period of time and provides clear results on the performance and future viability of your system within 10–20 days, including recommendations for further modernization steps.
